First Aid Course – HLTAID011
Event information
We’re running a full-day HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid course with Hands on Heart First Aid at Essex Street on Saturday 20 June, 9:00am - 4:00pm.
This is a nationally recognised first aid qualification (and requirement for Core OAS level 5) and the full course will be delivered face to face in one day, covering theory, CPR, slings, EpiPens, choking response and a wide range of first aid scenarios.
There is also the option to do the HTLAID009 - Provide Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (for annual assessment) only

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid $90 per person

Who can attend?
- Open to Scouts, Venturers, Rovers, Leaders, and parents/carers
- Not restricted to 14+; however, to pass the course, participants must be able to:
- Perform effective CPR compressions on an adult manikin for 2 minutes
- Complete practical tasks such as slings, EpiPen use, and choking response
- As a guide, most 11-year-olds are usually capable of these tasks.
- USI (Unique Student Identifier): Every participant must have a USI to enrol. Please find or create a USI at: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/find-your-usi and have the number ready when you register.
