This term we are trialing running sailing for venturers during term 2. We usually run our regular sailing program through terms 1 and 4, but are testing running a winter program with a small group of venturers to see if running a longer season may be feasable in the future.

This event is for venturers and helpers only.

Sailing dates are dependent on the availability of our qualified sailing instructors.
 
Sailing at the Epping Scout Group Boatshed is an opportunity for Scouts to experience sailing and to learn how to sail.  We start off in the training boat until the participant has sufficient Experience and competence to progress into the smaller, but faster, craft.  We compete in some of the local regattas including Sirius Cup in March at Balmoral and the Port Neptune Regatta in September on the Parramatta River at Abbotsford.
 
Please be on time to start rigging the boats at 1:00pm Sharp.  Part of the experience of sailing is being responsible for rigging the boat at the start and also cleaning and packing everything away after an enjoyable day on the water.
